KNIGHTSBRIDGE FLAT REFURBISHMENT
An architect-led high-end refurbishment of a three-bedroom flat in the heart of Knightsbridge, not far from Hyde Park. Clean lines and an elegant, simple design were brought to life with the careful use of shadow gaps throughout. This project also showcases Canyon's ability to produce superb high-quality joinery, complete with pivoting pocket doors and frameless radiator grilles.
HACKNEY LONDON EXTENSION AND REFURBISHMENT
Another project for international architects is Viewport Studio. An old and neglected house in Bethnal Green was given a fresh new look and a zinc-clad rear extension. The build included flush frameless doors, a large frameless skylight, underfloor heating throughout, and a minimalist modern staircase. Landscaping and ebony decking in the garden provided the final touches.
KINGS CROSS BASEMENT & EXTENSION
These lovely clients wanted to create a playroom for their growing children and connect their ground floor to the garden. Living in a conservation area and with listed building status, their options were limited. The solution was to extend the existing basement beneath the garden and create a modest and sensitive extension that would stream light into the house.
